BALL 2019

A Night Under the Stars

February 25, 2023

This years theme of the night was to unmask the stigma of suicide - featuring a dinner, dancing to live music, and a silent auction. Funds raised by the Fund were for suicide awareness and prevention, education programs, and scholarship awards for Rhode Island teenagers.

Masquerade Ball

February 29, 2020

Our inaugural masquerade ball brought together those who loved Matt – and the community that has been built around his memory. The theme of the night was to unmask the stigma of suicide - featuring a dinner, dancing to live music, and a silent auction. Funds raised by the Fund were for suicide awareness and prevention, education programs, and scholarship awards for Rhode Island teenagers.

Suicide Prevention Walk

September 14, 2019

Friends, family, neighbors, and supporters participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Walk at Goddard Park.  Everyone wore t-shirts with Matt's football number on them, creating a beautiful “Sea of Green” in Matt's memory. #prayfor10

Paint & Sip Night

February 24, 2019

Our second Paint & Sip Fundraiser was a huge success. Again partnering with Proud Painters, we had an amazing afternoon of fun creating beautiful artwork. It was amazing to see the support of family and friends that continue to raise funds for scholarship awards in Matthew’s memory

Paint & Sip Night

March 25, 2018

The Matt Alsfeld Memorial Fund had not yet been created, but our first fundraiser was held as we wanted to continue giving out awards to high school students.  It was a wonderful event, with lots of laughs, plenty of talent and just a room full of love for Matty.

We partnered with The Proud Painters, who shared their artistry, kindness, and patience. We could not be more thankful to the non-painting crew that helped with set up, break down, photography and everything in between, and we were also grateful to those that were unable to attend but donated.
